Synchronizing Existing PharmaClik Rx Patients

To fill a PrescribeIT® prescription for a patient with an existing PharmaClik Rx record, the patient's information must first be synchronized using the PrescribeIT® Patient Compare feature.

If the patient has not been synchronized, their name will appear in bold when a new transaction is received in the Message Manager from PrescribeIT®. To learn how to synchronize patients that do not have an existing PharmaClik Rx record, see Synchronizing a New Patient Profile from PrescribeIT®

To synchronize an existing patient record using the patient information from PrescribeIT®:

  1. From the PrescribeIT® To Do tab, highlight the transaction and select the Process button. The New Prescription window opens.

  2. Select the expand icon next to the Patient field. The Patient Search window opens.

Note: The expand icon has a red square around it when the patient has not been synchronized.

  3. Search for and select the correct patient.

  4. With the correct patient record selected, press OK. The Patient folder opens.

  5. Select the Compare button. The PrescribeIT® Patient Compare window opens.
  6. Under the PrescribeIT® section, highlight any rows you want to copy over into the PharmaClik Rx section (local patient profile).

    • You can select fields individually or use the Select All option to highlight all PrescribeIT® fields.

    • Ensure to scroll down to the bottom of the PrescribeIT® fields to view and copy height and weight details, if available.

  7. Select the icon. Highlighted information will be copied to the PharmaClik Rx section.

  8. Under the Clinical Information section, select the Add button and use existing functionality to enter allergies and medical conditions in PharmaClik Rx.

  9. Select OK.

Result: The existing patient profile will be synchronized and updated with the prescriber’s EMR using PrescribeIT®.

Note: Allergies and medical conditions can be added from PrescribeIT®, as required. To learn more, see PrescribeIT® Patient Compare Overview.
